Shamrocks, leprechauns, and sippy cups

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We had a wonderful day today. The plan was to go to the parade in Dogtown, but I started to hyperventilate thinking about all the traffic, parking issues, and fighting our way through the crowd with a stroller. So then the plan was to go to the zoo, but the parking for the parade flowed over to the streets around the zoo. So finally, we just drove a little farther and walked around Forest Park for an hour. It was a beautiful day! On another subject, Madeline tried out a sippy cup for the first time today. She mostly preferred to chew on it, but she did drink some of the water :)

  1. Sometimes the funnest things are also the most complicated...at least you got a walk out of it! So ready for it to be spring all the time.

Keep us posted with the sippy. Lincoln loves his straw sippy cup, and I'm sure Madeline will too once she gets used to it!

BTW, you are SO good about keeping up with your blog! I'm always excited to see a new post.

Lincoln didn't notice giving up his bottles from George much--it was just harder for him not to nurse on me. As long as his snack is pretty close to supper time, he's fine. He just doesn't like the feeling of an empty stomach when he's used to having a belly full of milk. :)
