Apparently, for Madeline, the 10th dose is the charm. After 9 doses of fighting, squirming, squeezing the end of the syringe into her mouth, and getting half of it spewed back in my face... Maddie now almost enjoys her antibiotics. Last night, as we prepared for battle... Ed holding Madeline down and making sure her hands were tucked in tightly, I approached with the dreaded syringe of pink stuff. Amazingly, she just opened up her mouth and swallowed, bit-by-bit until the WHOLE 1.5 teaspoons were gone! We only spilled a couple drops out the side of her mouth. Then, this morning (certain that last night was a fluke), we mentally and physically prepared ourselves again... but she happily gobbled it down, we didn't even spill a drop! Yay Maddie (clap, clap, clap).
Oh come on, Maddie! Are you trying to make it easy on Mommy and Daddy or something? Just kidding--that is great news! I get a huge kick out of the picture in my head of Ed using all his strength to hold the wee girl down and you approaching in a haz-mat suit... :)
