4 month update

Madeline is 4 months old today, and we had a nice visit with Dr. Spewak this morning... that is, until he left and the evil, evil nurse came in and jammed four huge needles into my baby's itty-bitty legs! OUCH. Poor Maddie. Anyway, on to the stats... She weighed in at 13 lbs 4 oz (50th percentile), and she is 25.5 inches long (75th percentile). Jefferson City

Madeline and Mommy went to Jeff City yesterday to hang out with ReRe, Curt, C.J., and Mary. As an added bonus, we got to see Sarah, Mike, and John (Sarah's brother). C.J., Sarah, Mike, and John all ran a half-marathon in Columbia that morning. Way to go guys!! Poor Daddy had to stay home and work on his houses. We missed him while we were hanging out at the park:

What a long week it's been. Sheesh. I do not know how single parents do it. Well, since I haven't been posting too much lately, I have a few pictures saved up! Madeline's getting really good at holding up her head:

Day o' Fun

Today Mommy and Madeline had fun hanging out with Katie, John, and Ben! First, we went to the Butterfly House. We saw some pretty butterflies and some ugly spiders and cockroaches. Then, we did a little shopping at St Louis Mills mall--we found a cute halloween shirt for Maddie. After that, we went home and took some naps. For dinner, we went back over to Katie and John's where they had kindly prepared some extra food to share :) John made some steaks on the grill--wonderful as usual, and Katie made lemon bars from scratch--delicious. Daddy even came over just in time to eat!

Grandma O'Toole

You will be missed! Sadly for us, Grandma O'Toole passed away this afternoon. She was able to be in her home surrounded by loved ones, which is what she wanted. We are grateful that Madeline got to know you, and we will continue to remind her about what a great person you are! We love you, Grandma.
