Milwaukee

We had a great (but way too short) trip to Milwaukee this weekend! We stayed 2 nights with Aunt Betts, who is an awesome hostess! Madeline had a great time toddling around Aunt Betts' house. While we were there, we got to visit with Julie, Al, Angela, and Blake. We had a wonderful time, but somehow managed to take NO pictures, boo-hoo. On the way up there, Madeline got to meet Will (Chris and Stacy's son), who is just a couple months younger than her. They had a great time getting to know each other! We also got to visit with Aunt Arlene, Uncle Lou, Cathi, Joe, Claire, Carson, Debbie, and Eric at Carson's first communion celebration. It was a lot of fun, but of course, way too short of a time! Aunt Arlene brought lots of new books for Madeline. Here she is enjoying one of them with Daddy:

11 month update

Madeline is 11 months old today! To celebrate, she took a few (4) steps in a row. Woo-hoo! I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She still eats all the "baby foods" and crackers, cheese, yogurt (her favorite!), puffs, cheerios, and tidbits of other stuff from our meals. She loves to wave and clap. She waves at EVERYONE that she sees, and you always know who the nice people are, because they wave back. Sadly, there are people out there who don't have the time to wave at a smiling baby. She is a happy baby, usually only cries when she is hungry, sleepy, or both. Ed and I feel very blessed! Here are some cute photos of Madeline after her bath tonight:

Uncle Brandon

Happy 29th Birthday Uncle Brandon! We love you :) Hope you had a great golden birthday. In your honor, Madeline took her first step today! She took one step twice.

Roommate reunion

This weekend, we had a roommate reunion with Mommy's college friends. We had the pleasure of hanging out with Janelle (Carl, Sierra, and Hunter), Kylie (Kipp and Olli), and Maria (Curt and Anna). We dearly missed Katie, Sarah (and Mike), Andrea (Brian, Sydney, and Dylan), and Jenny. Mommy's promotion

As of today, I am an attending at Barnes! It means that I will be working more hours, but I will have more responsibilities and a better paycheck :)

10 month update

Madeline is 10 months old today. What a great month it's been! She's now standing unsupported for small stretches. She has learned how to wave, and she waves to anyone and everyone. She likes to drink out of a straw. We introduced formula into her diet a couple weeks ago, but she still prefers breastmilk. She is sitting up on her knees a lot. She has 4 teeth on top and 2 on bottom, and she makes an eerie noise when she grinds them together. Her motto is play hard, sleep hard:
